What's the difference between a Board member and a General Member:

Board Members:
- Leadership Role: They hold key positions like president, vice president, treasurer.
- Decision-Makers: They set the agenda, oversee committees, and make big-picture decisions for the PTO.
- Time Commitment: Their roles often require more frequent meetings and additional responsibilities, like managing budgets, organizing events, and planning strategies.
- Responsibility: They ensure the organization runs smoothly and remains aligned with its goals and bylaws.
General Members:
- Supporting Role: They participate in general meetings, offer input, and assist with events and projects.
- Voluntary Involvement: They aren't obligated to take on leadership tasks but can volunteer for activities and events or help as needed.
- Voting Allowance: After membership dues are paid, a member is allowed to vote in elections, on budget and expenses and other matters brought to the general meeting.
